118 Days With SAG-AFTRA

With the adoption of automation and Artificial intelligence, the well being of members of the Entertainment industry came under threat. SAG-AFTRA, Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and the WGA, or Writers Guild of America would go through a number of negotiations focusing on fair compensation, safe working conditions, and equitable treatment in the evolving industry. In response, AMPTP President Carol Lombardini insulted negotiators by telling them to "be civilized" and avert a strike. This was the last straw and unions would step away from the table and step onto the picket lines until a fair proposal could be made by major production studios. Prominent names in the industry would not fear the repercussions formed by the producing companies and studios, marching fearlessly along side their fellow members.
