Reaching the finals of a respective sports tournament always brings a level of success that will always be remembered. It is a milestone within itself, even if the medals or trophies have yet to be handed out. In the 13th edition of the prestigious men's cricket tournament, those two teams were India and Australia. Appearing in the World Cup four times, and claiming victory twice, a win for the favorites would close a 20 plus year drought. The energy fueling the team was immense, and so were their fans.
Outside of the World Trade Center’s Oculus, on a warm summer’s day hundreds of India supporters went through highs and lows before receiving the answer they had been waiting for: World Champions in 2024.
